Patrons will browse and shop while taking in the excitement of the races. Guests always enjoy the added bonus of discovering new businesses from around the country as they stroll through the Merchant Market.
Who Can Be in the Merchant Market at The Steeplechase of Charleston?
Are you a coffee shop or a tea artisan? Perhaps a clothing boutique or a specialty shoe store? Regardless of your specialty, we welcome all businesses to serve an affluent audience. We welcome any and all types of businesses and vendors to immerse themselves in this 229-year-old tradition.

How Does It Work?
First, you fill out an application to have your business in Steeplechase 2022. Completion of this application does not guarantee you a spot in our Merchant Market. We offer spots based on the variety of products/services and historical attendance of the event. If you are accepted, a representative will send you a contract and payment info on August 1, 2022. Any applications submitted after August 1 will still be considered depending on booth availability.
On the day of, you will arrive early and set up your vendor tent. Guests will then stroll through, interacting with all the vendors in the village!
