This year, we are eager to showcase some seasonal snacks and cocktails featuring our returning liquor sponsors: Blade & Bow, Don Julio, and Ketel One. If you’re attending SOC’24 or just throwing your own fall fiesta, these recipes will surely bring warmth and an added autumnal touch to your tailgating table.

Blade & Bow Apple Cider Hot Toddy

Craving warm apple cider or candied apples? Try the Apple Cider Bourbon Hot Toddy. Traditionally, hot toddies include hot water, whiskey, honey and lemon. However, for this recipe we’re using Blade & Bow’s Bourbon Whiskey, any apple
cider and a warming set of spices. This drink will ensure maximum coziness and make you feel like you’ve been transported to a tranquil orchard.

Ingredients:

– Blade & Bow Bourbon Whiskey
– Hot Apple Cider
– Maple Syrup
– Cinnamon, All Spice and Clove
– Apple slice for garnish

*Adjust as preferred, please pour responsibly!

By simply changing some of the base ingredients, you are able to turn a classic cocktail into something more seasonal and suitable for Steeplechase.

Blade & Bow Bourbon Whiskey Based Chili

Alternatively, you could include this bourbon into a pot of hearty chili. Slow-cooked chili is ideal for tailgating spreads because it is shareable, easy to consume and re-heatable. Keep in mind, open flames and grills are prohibited on the race track, so a warming crock pot will be your best friend!

Ketel One Spiced Vodka Cranberry Cocktail

One of the simplest drinks to order out, this recipe takes the basic vodka cranberry and gives it that Thanksgiving twist. If you’re the family member who finds themselves reaching for a second serving of cranberries, this drink is for you.

Ingredients:

– Ketel One Vodka
– Cranberry juice
– Soda water
– Spiced syrup (which is a combination of brown sugar, water, cinnamon,
cloves and All Spice)
– Optional: Fresh lime juice
– Fresh cranberries for garnish

*Adjust as preferred, please pour responsibly!

If you’re indecisive or really looking forward to Thanksgiving, this drink will surely itch that seasonal scratch.

Nothing says fall more than the taste and smell of maple and pumpkins. This recipe takes the well-known margarita and introduces an unexpected ingredient — maple syrup.

Ingredients:

*Adjust as preferred, please pour responsibly!
