The Post and Courier is excited to host the 2024 Steeplechase of Charleston on Sunday, November 10. This will be The Post and Courier's 6th year hosting the Steeplechase. Horse racing has been a part of South Carolina culture since at least 1734 when the first record appeared. That is 69 years before the first paper was published in 1803 by the company that would later become the Post and Courier.  The rich and long-standing history of both brands makes this pairing a natural fit. The Post and Courier will provide a deep look into the unique stories of the horses, jockeys, and passionate audience as we near the starting gate for this year’s race.
